Happy Anniversary, Heartbreak Hotel!

It was Presley's first hit for RCA Victor after the company purchased his contract from Sam Phillips of Sun Records for $35,000."

  1. I still remember the day I bought this 45 and took it home and found much to my surprise that both my folks liked it very much.

    The John Cale version should have come with a razor blade to allow you to slit your wrists. Utterly depressing and spot on.
