Best Broadcasts of the Past 25 Years?

A sad example of conflating "influential" with "best." Most of these are shite, to borrow a Britishism. Happily, NYPD BLUE, HILL STREET, ST. ELSEWHERE, and THE SIMPSONS are among the actual Best of the last quarter-century, as uneven as even these have been (even ST. ELSEWHERE was no great shakes in its first season).

It's not a horrible list. It's just that there are too many shows on it and the criteria for defining "influential" are so ill-defined as to be non-existent. Cut the list down to ten from 25 and look for real significance and you might have something.
