Not too bad for six minutes on the History Channel, but I hope the bad edits were more a function of whoever pirated it up on YT rather than the original presentation (such as mentioning what Gernsback saw all around him but not quite mentioning that he decided to publish magazines in response to that, that in their turn would eventually lead to nudes on the covers of PLANET STORIES). Any history of sf that manages to make much briefly of Z-grade monster films and not mention ASTOUNDING nor NEW WORLDS will make some folks spit, or just smirk, but the thing that's just now occuring to me is how meaningless to the young and/or innocent the first line of Gibson's NEUROMANCER will be, very soon...the sky was the color of a television tuned to a dead channel...you mean, Really Bright Blue? Starless and Bible Black? Huh?
