Hee Haw was pretty corny but the music by Buck Owens, Roy Clark, the Hagers, Grandpa Jones, and others was usually quite good.

My relatives on my father's side of the family used to claim that Grandpa Jones was a neighbor of theirs in Fairmont, W.Va., before he hit it big with the Grand Ole Opry. An on-line bio summary says he worked at radio stations in West Virginia and elsewhere in his early days, so maybe it was true.

He died doing what I love. Drinking coffee.
