The sad days of monsterdom. Lugosi's Ape Man is like Chaney's Kharis, a grungy proletarian working dog of the monster movies. Nothing much monstrous about him, except that he looks like an Amish Groucho and sleeps with a gorilla. We're supposed to think what we will about their relationship.
