Hmmmmmmm

Tyra Banks Tries Hand at Fantasy Novels - ABC News: "Former supermodel Tyra Banks has signed a deal for a series of fantasy novels about the world of modeling, her publishers said on Tuesday.

Banks, the host of reality competition 'America's Next Top Model' and whose own TV talk show is set to end this year, will write three books, Delacorte Press said.

She has already finished the first, called 'Modelland', which is about a teen girl in a make-believe society at an academy for exceptional models called Intoxibellas. It will be published in the summer of 2011."

Hat tip to Todd Mason.

Please, just shoot me now.

I just hope the ghostwriter involved is getting a piece of the action, and not just a low flat rate.

She and William Shatner will have a storehouse of author stories to tell, no doubt.

So William Shatner doesn't write his own novels. I suppose next you're going to tell me Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny aren't real.

When it comes to celebrity authors, I always assume the only writing they did is when they signed the contract with the publisher.

Sometimes they write their own books...that tends to show, too.

I.e.: SOCK by Penn Gilette.

Well, I know who writes Shatner's Tek War books--Ron Goulart. I was talking with him about this at the Dell Magazine cocktail party a couple of weeks back.
