No DRAGNET?

They lost a lot of credibility by leaving that out.

No NAKED CITY, no NYPD, no COLUMBO, no POLICE STORY, no THE BILL or any non-US series of course, no BARNEY MILLER, no CAGNEY & LACEY (say what you will), and let's pretend that MIAMI VICE had more influence than HILL STREET BLUES. Yes, and no DRAGNET. Let's call THE UNTOUCHABLES non-cops, but it sure is great that all the important stuff except THE FUGITIVE happened in the last twenty years.

And the Third Party list also bites. The Anti-Masonic and (in other ways) the Nazi Party have actually made a difference in this country, unlike nearly all the cited.

I'll agree about no Dragnet. And I'm prepared to dodge brickbats and say "No CSI?" If "The Fugitive" is a cop show then so is "CSI." (At least the original and "CSI New York" - I'm not sure what "CSI Miami" is).

Another cry for Dragnet from here. And most of the ones Todd listed. Also might mention Highway Patrol, M Squad, Policewoman, and Adam-12.
