Yvette Vickers, R. I. P.

Mummified body of former Playboy playmate Yvette Vickers found in her Benedict Canyon home Los Angeles Times: "Yvette Vickers, an early Playboy playmate whose credits as a B-movie actress included such cult films as “Attack of the 50-Foot Woman” and “Attack of the Giant Leeches,” was found dead last week at her Benedict Canyon home. Her body appears to have gone undiscovered for months, police said."

Yes, I hope I have loved ones and friends around when I kick off. But more than that, I hope I continue to express love and appreciation to such persons well before that event happens.

Yikes. What an awful end, alone for months with no one even to check up on you.

Who could ever forget her as the floozy in ATTACK OF THE 50-FOOT WOMAN?

I hadn't known (until I just looked it up) that Russ Meyer photographed her for her Playboy centerfold in 1959.
