Survivor is a game show? Oh?

To Tell the Truth, Beat the Clock, The Match Game, or Who Do You Trust? might have been considered. Another callow youth list. At least Let's Make a Deal was absent.

Survivor is a game show in that it is covered by the same laws that shut down the game shows of the 1950s like Dotto and Twenty-One. So are Big Brother and (my personal favourite) The Amazing Race.

Of course there are plenty of these shows that are missing from this list - lots of shows that were on before this twenty or thirty something was born. I'd cite Match Game (after Dick DeBartolo came up with the idea to use "joke" questions), Hollywood Squares, and of course The $64,000 Question. And how can anyone say that Love Connection is a "top 10 game show" when it's a blatant copy of The Dating Game?
