Forgotten Music -- Robert Mitchum, Singer

Robert Mitchum is, of course well remembered as an actor in such great noir films as Out of the Past, but he had other talents, too. Some might say that singing wasn't one of them, but not me. Not only did he write (along with Joe Gall's creator, James Atlee Phillips) the screenplay, he also wrote and sang the title song for the movie Thunder Road. He even did a calypso album. Check 'em out.

Well, maybe it was just the song choices on the calypso album...

Of course, some of us know this stuff already. "Thunder Road" is a classic of the first (worst?) order.
