One of the best songs Neil ever wrote. And she sings it beautifully. But, then, she sang most things beautifully.

I started to use Neil Young's version, but I just like Linda Ronstadt's voice so much that I couldn't not use hers.

Is this the version she sang with Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton? There's obviously at least one other voice in the mix.

Emmylou is another of my very favorites. Here we have "vocals by Valerie Carter and Emmylou Harris and The Skywalker Orchestra featuring strings and a glass armonica."

Thanks for the info, Bill. Skywalker Orchestra? I guess that was back when Linda was dating George Lucas!

Ah, Linda, Linda. I hate to admit it but for me it is Neil's version or nothing on this one. Great song and a favorite album.

As for Emmylou, I'm looking forward to seeing her with Rodney Crowell at the Beacon in September.

Emmylou and Rodney's new album is good but not great.

The first one was better, I agree.

I love Linda but I didn't care for the extra voices in this one.
